Applications
Anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF) is used to produce environmentally safer fluorocarbon products, fluoropolymers, and chemical derivatives. It is also used in refinery alkylation, etching agent in electronic industry and other processes. Aqueous HF is used in pickling stainless steel and titanium, glass etching and frosting, quartz purification, feedstock for chemical derivatives, chemical milling, and rare metal processing.
